HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR VISIT HERE Located in a quiet leafy suburb of Salford in Greater Manchester is the Saraniya Dhamma Meditation Centre. It is the charitable organisation established since 1986/87 to help people who wish to learn and practise insight vipassana meditation. It was set up by Venerable Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa of Myanmar (Panditarama Shwe-taung-gon Sasana-yeiktha) and was inaugurated on July 14, 2002. The meditation method is Intensive Vipassana in the tradition of the Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw of Myanmar, which consists of sitting meditation and formal walking meditation throughout the day. Almost daily discussions and debate about the teachings Dhamma take place both in Burmese as well as English. Meditators observe Noble Silence and keep eight precepts. There are also formal scheduled retreats (please see our events calendar for more information). The resident teacher, Venerable Pannasami, have trained with the Venerable Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa of Myanmar.

We will organize the in-house group meditation & Dhamma discussion (evening classes) on every Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and everyone is warmly welcomed to come and join us. Next Retreat
Successfully April Retreat (2013) Our Decenber retreat is over and about many yogis came and practised Vipassna Meditation during this. Sayadaw U Pannasami also gave them Dhamma talks. We would like to say 'Many Thanks' to all of yogis and foods donors. Please come and join us again if such kind of retreat is held in the future.
